If you want to be transported back to Pioneer America,
make a visit to Old Bedford Village.

It is made up of over 40 log and stone homes, schoolhouses and craft shops.
Every building at Old Bedford Village has its own charm and history.
Above is the village church.

I'm reaxing in front of one of the log houses.

This is Don's new- found friend.
He kept following us around
the entire village.

The clanging of the Blacksmith's hammer filled the air.

We had to investigate and found this resident
working on making souvenir horseshoes.

I think that our friend likes following us.
I bet he knows that I am terrified of him!

The saw this wood worker is using is driven by manpower!
The faster he pedals- the quicker he can cut out the wood.

This reminded us of the attic in the old house in Germany
that I lived in. You could see through the floorboards
into the room below.

I'm sure the kids found this very entertaining
since they had no TV to keep them occupied.
