Hello Everyone,

Did we have fun or what???? I hope that everyone made it home okay without
too much wear and tear on the body. I know one thing for sure, I was sure tired
after we got everything put away and I sat down in my recliner for a while.
It was like all of my energy just suddenly left my body and I was completely drained.
But, after a short nap I was up and at them again with my batteries recharged
and I was ready to face the world once more. Now we are back to counting the days
until the next reunion in 2004.

I believe that Branson was a huge success for our seventh reunion. The final numbers
are not in yet, but from all that I heard, it was a successful reunion and we will
have some money to pass along to the Sosnowski's and Yules for the 2004 reunion.

Not only did we make some new friends from the 3/71st, but I met a few Sailors
that I liked. The Seabees that were having their reunion right next door to us
were a great bunch of Veterans even though they were Navy. One of the Seabees
that we met and had a great time with was Earl. I believe that Earl secretly wished
that he had been a Nike Missile man instead of a Seabee, but as you know, not everyone
got the chance to answer the call to duty on a Nike Missile Site. I do believe that Earl
could have handled it even though he had Navy Blue running through his veins.
He was a very nice Gentleman and we were able to share a few laughs with him and
when you get right down to it, that’s what it is all about. I'm glad that Earl
crossed the path that I walk in this life.

I hope that all of the first timers had a great time and will join us again
at the next reunion in Michigan. I know that the Sosnowski's and Yules are already
thinking about what they want to do for 2004 and I just want to tell them
that if they need any help from any of us, we will be there for them.
Just let us know what you need and we will do our best to help you make 2004
another great reunion of the 3/71st.

It was really great seeing all of you and Thank You for helping make the reunion in
Branson such a fun and happy few days. You stay in touch and I'll be in touch
with all of you real soon.
