Hi there, my name is Char. I'm married to Don, who supports me in everything I do. (Well- almost everything!) We celebrated our 39th wedding anniversary on June 8th 2002. We both love to travel and would like to share our photos with you. You'll find lots of pictures and a little information about the places. we have visited.
 I was born and grew up in a small town called Kleinsachsenheim in Germany. That's where I met Don who was stationed in a neighboring town with the U.S. Army. At the above link you'll be able to see photos of the little town where I grew up and some of the Army Base where Don was stationed.
Some of the photos were taken from 1959 to 1962
the others between 1991 and now.

A Tribute to my Mother who was and is a great Lady. She was a Liberated Woman before that phrase had been coined. I admire her spirit that triumphed over all kinds of adversities. I hope my children will feel the same about me as I do about her! This area has lots of my mother's recipes. It includes the pictures that I took of her as she was preparing the dishes. This will help to show what the dish looks like as it is being prepared and when it is finished. Even a Beginning Cook can make great German Food!
